Guerlain Perfume

One of the world’s oldest purveyors of fine perfume for women is Guerlain. The brand was established by the Guerlain family in Paris during the late 1820s, and since then has continued to produce perfumes for women that are among the most popular scents on earth.

Modern women’s perfume by Guerlain runs the gamut from citrus-laced fragrances like L’Instant de Guerlain to more compelx scents like Mitsouko. L’Instant de Guerlain – launched in 2003, this was the first Guerlain perfume to be based on magnolia. The scent also includes citrus, honey, ylang-ylang and sambac jasmine, along with benzoin and vanilla.
Mitsouko – a subtle, mysterious fragrance featuring peach, bergamot, cinnamon, oakmoss and jasmine.
Champs Elysee – a floral fragrance packed with fruity tones, including mimosa, melon and fruits of the forest. Today’s champs Elysee is a namesake for a popular fragrance first launched in 1904, though the scents have virtually nothing in common.
Jicky – originally formulated by Aime Guerlain in 1889, Jicky is one of the original Guerlain scents, and one of the first perfumes to include synthetic fragrance as part of its make up. The scent includes lavender, lemon, orris and rose as well as the trademark Guerlinade of amber and vanilla.
Insolence – a relative newcomer to the Guerlain fragrance family, Insolence is a bold, young fragrance featuring violet, a cocktail of red fruits and the subtle warmth of vanilla and Tonka bean.
Shalimar – one of the longest-serving fragrances in the Guerlain stable, Shalimar was first launched in 1925. It’s the sensual, oriental fragrance with notes of Mandarin orange, cedar, jasmine, rose, leather, patchouli and opopomax that has inspired a number of spin-off scents to inspire each new generation of women.
Samsara – a classic Guerlain perfume for women with fresh bergamot, lemon and green tones followed by a wealth of flowers and a hint of that trademark vanilla and amber so integral to Guerlain’s popular perfume for women
