The most famous Chanel fragrance is Chanel No.5 – this iconic perfume introduced in 1921 is legendary and still quite popular today. The perfume was fifth in a series of scents presented to Chanel by perfumer Ernest Beaux, and she opted to keep it’s name No.5 because it was her lucky number – the scent made its debut on May 5.
